Chartered Financial Planner

We established ourselves with the aim of helping all businesses to be recognised in their industry and by their employees as an “Employer of Choice”.

Within 3d ifs some of our consultants are Chartered Financial Planners. Chartered Financial Planners are Independent Financial Advisors (IFA), which are strictly regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

To gain this highly respected award the planners have to pass exams set by the Chartered Insurance Institution (CII) and must keep their financial knowledge up to date and in line with the current best practice indefinitely. This is a process called Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

As a Chartered Financial Planners they have to have at least five years relevant experience in the industry, no less than three years CPD and they have to complete the CII’s Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. This qualification is one of the most demanding in the industry. It aims to ensure that the adviser’s knowledge, ability, ethics and conduct are all without question and meet the CII’s extremely rigorous standards.

Finally, Chartered Financial Planners must always hold a valid membership of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), which is the professional body for Financial Planners and is part of the CII group.

We have employees who are fellows of PFS and are Chartered Financial Planners. These are Jon Isaacs and Colin Prescott who are located in our Meriden Office. We offer a full financial planning service or a referral system where the full service is not available, and access to a Chartered Financial Planner is available to all clients within ten days of the request.
